What’s therapy with me like? I understand that everyone’s journey is unique, which is why I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. My goal is to create a therapeutic space where you feel genuinely seen, understood, and supported as your authentic self.
I am deeply passionate about mental health education and awareness, social equity, and the unique challenges surrounding religious trauma and domestic violence. These issues fuel my dedication to fostering change and providing the compassionate care you deserve.
My expertise spans across Brainspotting, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychoanalytic Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing, giving me a diverse toolkit to address your specific needs. As a behavior specialist, I craft targeted interventions to help you navigate your personal challenges with confidence and clarity.
Who do I work with? I primarily work with individuals age 12 and older, helping them navigate their unique challenges. Through understanding behaviors, emotions, and experiences, I collaborate with my clients to develop long-term skills that will positively impact their lives.
My impacting identities are… mom of four children under the age of 13, three of whom have special needs.
I feel allied/aware/part of/informed/knowledgeable about… Single Parent (aware, knowledge, part of)
What makes me unique? Curiosity is my superpower; it drives me to ask questions, explore all possibilities, and continuously learn and grow. As a therapist my work is not stagnant or linear, but continually changing and adapting as needed. I strive to provide the best possible support to those I work with.
Did You know...My own experience with individual therapy and my children's therapy inspired me to pursue a career as a social worker and therapist. I dedicate much of my personal time to advocating for my children's needs, particularly in mental and behavioral health.
Any Pets? I am an animal lover with experience in equine-assisted therapy and am in the process of certifying my Golden Retriever as a therapeutic emotional support animal. My experience with animals over the years has deepened my belief in their remarkable healing powers.
My favorite hobbies… I enjoy the outdoors, engaging in "yard therapy"—pruning trees, pulling weeds, and mowing the lawn. The sunshine and fresh air are particularly healing for me. I also enjoys creativity, crafts, music, and problem-solving.
Our interns are not currently in-network with insurance providers, which allows them to offer services either pro bono (at no cost) or on a sliding scale basis. Typically, sliding scale rates for sessions with our interns range from $30 to $80, offering a more affordable alternative to the $195-$220 out-of-pocket cost for sessions with a licensed clinician.
Interns receive close supervision from seasoned, licensed clinicians, offering you the expertise of not just one, but two professionals working together. A key role of the supervisor is to ensure that interns work within their scope of competence, carefully overseeing each case to guarantee high-quality care at every stage. We take great care in matching interns with supervisors who not only support them but also help amplify their professional voice, drawing from the supervisor’s extensive experience.
Field experience is undeniably valuable, but we also highly appreciate the new perspectives that interns bring. As they transition from years of study to real-world work, their enthusiasm is often infectious and brings a renewed energy to the team.
